Story
Although onyx and seed pearls were typical materials employed in Victorian jewelry, it is the gold surface work inlaid with a diamond in the onyx which is quite unusual.
A beautiful rectangular medallion of onyx is embellished with a flower motif, most likely a peace lily. Inset with a rose cut diamond of .01 carats (I-J color; SI1-2 clarity), the flower form is delineated in gold in a vertical orientation echoing the onyx.
Archaeological revival elements of 14k rose gold accent the cardinal points of the mounting with ten natural freshwater half seed pearls placed within the interior.
Strong rose gold shoulders make a bold statement about style and design as incised patterns accentuate the wide shank.
