Three color gold is no exception. In Georgian times during the earlier part of the 19th century it heralded in a new look, then sprang up again around the 1860s and 70s. It was even back again in the earlier years of the 20th century and again became popular with Black Hills gold in mid century.
Green flowers are placed amidst a field of rose gold and old mine cut diamonds. Three of these scintillating beauties weigh a total of .45 carats (H-I color, SI1-2 clarity).
This tableau is raised above an oval of 14k yellow gold with a twisted, wire work border. In an archaeological revival style, the edges are decorative and the tip a flourish of scrolls and beaded granulation.
Another flower graces the original bale. The reverse reveals a beveled glass locket that no longer opens.
