WILL SIZING AFFECT A RING'S VALUE?
The answer is no. Antique rings have frequently been sized or restored. It is part of their history. When sized properly by an expert, sizing is either invisible or only visible with high magnification. Therefore, the value is maintained.
RING FIT
A ring should have some resistance at the knuckle and then sit comfortably on the finger. Remember that as the day wears on, fingers can swell slightly. Heat makes fingers expand; cold contracts. Washing hands can make rings slip off if too loose. Keep this in mind when having your finger measured. Wide bands will fit tighter than thinner bands.
