They can shift or change from a range of blues to a range of purple or lilac hues.
A wave of the wand reveals this captivating, no-heat, lilac to pale blue sapphire. And no need to be a gemologist to be certain this hasn't been heated by man.
Sapphires that exhibit this beautiful flow of color are never heated; once heated, that property is negated.
From the Art Deco period, we have this striking two-tone ring set with a sapphire and with accent rose-cut diamonds. Resting low on the finger, it is truly OOAK with sweeping, open, arched sides.
Notable too is the under-gallery with hand-engraved swirls and waves that can be viewed from the north and south. It gracefully hugs the curve of the finger with pure elegance.
