At its heart, the epitome of a natural emerald dares to impress within a sublime setting.
Superb in coloration, the emerald meets the eye with a blue-green, saturated hue. Evenly distributed throughout, the inclusions are well below the surface and unobtrusive. Thus only vivid color comes through.
Matching the superb emerald is an exquisite, circa 1925 platinum setting. Entirely hand-made, there are two frames of diamonds. Between, a meander border, or Greek key pattern, in open filigree that appears like lace.
The miraculous properties of platinum were at their zenith in the Edwardian and Art Deco eras. It can be hammered so fine, like a thread in width, yet remains durable. The ring is a testament to that era's workmanship.
The opposite of bling, this is a sophisticated choice for the discriminating antique jewelry lover.
