Fairies capture many an imagination and can transport us to unknown realms. One of the most charming is this Victorian example set in a gold heart.

This exquisite image is rendered in hand painted enamel. A cherubic fairy sits all dressed in voluminous pink, blue beads upon her neck and a flower is placed in her hair. Her pink wings are still and transparent.
She holds a magic wand in one hand and with the other is pointing to a page in an open red covered book in her lap. Her two dainty feet rest on a daisy and she is surrounded by tiny pink roses or flowers amidst foliage.
Painted on a background of powder blue, she is seated on lush yellow green leaves.
The pendant surround is a heart of 14k gold with a tiny beaded border with four larger orbs of gold as well as delicate wire work on the edges. An exceptional treasure to remind us of the magic that surrounds each of us.
