If anyone could bring the heavens down to earth, it was the jewelers of the Victorian era.
The crescent moon motif was much in vogue during the later decades of the 19th century, along with its cousins, stars, and comets.
To experience it in glowing, fine natural rubies and diamonds, well pictures say it all.
Nineteen vermillion and hot, faceted natural rubies graduate in size down the outer edge. Depending on the light, their hues cover red to hot pink, and plum tones in the mix.
Their partners in sensational are all old brilliant cut diamonds. Ok there is one small single cut.
Better still, the brooch fitting is the original, antique ingenious one that has a flip up or down "B" shaped one that turns and so can be removed.
It can also be used to suspend the brooch on a chain. It will hand with both tips down. Or just ask us to add a pendant fitting(s) at no charge.
