It™s a balance between this oversized, fine amethyst and an exceptionally enameled gold setting.
Both stir the soul and remain an unforgettable pair that are meant for each other. A lively and medium deep-hued oval faceted amethyst measures a whopping 15/16 inches in length and weighs 18.6 carats.
A knuckle duster, it spans the length of the finger and more with royal coloration, pansy pink-purple highlights, and medium grape hues. Bezel set, the surround is an artwork unto itself.
A scalloped border of broad "U" shapes is chased and laden with ebon black enamel. Tiny gold swags rest at the center of each. Then north, south, east, and west, the background is pure white.
Down the shoulders, tulip flowers and decorative work has been filled with more coal black enamel. It is well-balanced and comfortable on the finger.
The underside, or under-gallery exhibits lyrical floral and swag motifs in gold. Entirely made of 14k gold, this is a regal look for those seeking a finger adornment with a powerful presence.
