Of gilded silver (vermeil), it is rendered as finely as any. From the front or back, each element is textured, balanced and harmonious.
A natural baroque freshwater pearl serves at the body of our graceful swan. Her wings are dappled with tiny freshwater natural pearls (44 in all). It speaks to the quality that even the back wing which only just peaks over the front, is nevertheless covered in pearls.
The eye of soft red gazes forward. Around its neck is a crown adorned with three paste (glass) cabochons, one of blue, one of deep red, and one of lighter red.
It glides forward on a textured lake of silver with cattails at its front and reeds to the rear. Gazing at the reverse, you will wish you could wear this either way there is so much fine engraving and texturing, every surface has been created with care and attention to perfection.
