Star motifs characterize some of the most spectacular pieces of Victorian jewelry. Lending themselves exceptionally well to the display of diamonds, the configurations never go out of style or fade in elegance.
The overall arrangement features a 12 rayed or pointed star, alternating longer and shorter arms. A splendid 5.55 carats of diamonds certainly rival the shimmer of our celestial friends in the vaulted night sky.
Notably grand in scale, its length of 1 7/8 inches entrances and dares to be worn and seen.
Emanating from the center, a diamond of .50 carats sets the tone, and diamonds graduate down from there on each of the points. Almost all are brilliant, old European, old mine and cushion cuts. Those placed at the very tips are rose cuts, with a few old single cuts.
White and brilliant, none appear less than scintillating, refractive, icy, and dazzling. With a setting of silver topped 14k gold, each is carefully tip set with tiny beads of silver.
A modern, long pendant fitting has been attached and the original Victorian brooch fitting, which twisted on and off, still accompanies the jewel and can be reattached. Contact us.
