Story
Jewelry as art has “invaded” the world since the Modernist Movement of the 1940s. Such has been the intent of contemporary artist & designer Bellarri who generates superb items employing meticulous stone cutting and masterful craftsmanship. Her collections often use a multiplicity of gems, cuts and colors to generate modern day wearable works of art.
Here is the culmination of her ideas and methods realized in a pendant of 18k white and yellow gold. Visually arresting with bold and vivid coloration, an 8 carat fancy cushion cut amethyst takes center stage. Each corner of the royal stone is punctuated with a sparkling diamond.
The pendant takes on a sensuous configuration with three fancy cut garnets, total of .50 carats, two fancy cut blue topaz, total weight 1 carat, two fancy cut green quartz, 1 carat each, a fancy cut citrine of .80 carats, a fancy cut .35 carat blue garnet, a .15 carat fancy cut peridot and a fancy cut .10 carat amethyst.
Set amongst the gems are an additional forty four diamonds bringing the total diamond weight to .34 carats (for 36 diamonds; G-H color; VS clarity). To the reverse is a flip up open bale with safety clasp as is the gold architectural structure supporting the piece.
