The swan image is as evocative as the 19th century poem œLe Cygne� (The Swan) by symbolist Stephane Mallarmé and is just as beautiful as witnessing Tchaikovsky's classic ballet œSwan Lake�.
Perceived as a symbol of transformation by a number of cultures, you too will feel a spark of renewal when donning this rapturous brooch.
By the American company Krenentz, this Art Nouveau era swan reads like a three-dimensional painting. Highlighted with iridescent polychrome enamels, a natural freshwater pearl, and a diamond, it captures the spirit of this water bird among the reeds.
Although it appears delicate, the brooch watch holder is substantial in its 14k yellow gold construction. The piece unfolds a visual story of a gentle white enamel swan gliding through a marshy waterscape.
Even the back is textured and modeled and nearly as beautiful as the front. If so desired, this can easily be transformed into a pendant.
