A glorious five-stone natural sapphire ring is all the more for its origins.
Created by the notable firm of Mappin & Webb, established in 1862. Although the origins reach back to the later 18th century, it has a complex history with various family members and partners coming and going. It still exists today with retail stores around the British Isles.
What hasn't changed is their quality. It held warrants to both Queen Elizabeth II and Charles III, and has been a crown jeweler since 2017.
Five natural oval, faceted blue sapphires graduate in size across the arc of this ring. Eight diminutive rose-cut diamonds rest between. And yes, that ornate, scrolling gallery sets off the ring, so from every angle, it is a memorable visual delight, whether used as an engagement, wedding, anniversary, guard, or right-hand ring.
