One hundred twenty eight years ago, this puffy heart pendant locket was created in the British Isles.
Dated and hand engraved to the front, the year 1896, and decorative initials SC or CS form a beautiful pattern. So intricate, from any distance, they look like a design rather than letters.
The heart opens to reveal two locket compartments and their frames, suitable for tiny photos, locks of hair or fur, or other small memorabilia.
On the back, the informative 15ct mark was used only in England, and that, and the karat fineness, were discontinued long ago.
