Like wearing an ethereal wave on the finger, this charming diamond ring dates to circa 1900.
Illusion settings blur the visual boundaries between platinum and diamonds. The eye perceives a field of shimmer.
Three diamonds are placed on top with a total of .10 carats, all white and glittering. Next to these, a textured platinum surface and mille grain beaded edges further the mirage of additional diamonds.
English in origin, it is interesting to note that this ring is stamped with the mark, "CT" (for carat). This mark's utilization started in 1854 and is no longer in use.
It is hallmarked, 18ct (for 18k yellow gold), Plat. You have to love the British, their gold and precious metal marks have been in place since the 1300's!
