Especially grand, this oversized fob pendant from the 19th century dates to the 1840s.
It holds an intricately refractive and faceted, hefty, rock crystal that spins within its frame or clicks in place in the oval. One side is entirely faceted and domed. The reverse has a flat surface and is beveled and faceted around the edge.
Repousee 15k rose gold embraces the crystal quartz covering the top half. Puffed and hollow, it was created with touches of green and rose gold leaves and flowers.
Eight tiny turquoise cabochons dot the ornate surface. Scrolls and arches are deeply worked, reflecting light at their high points and coming alive with shadows in the crevices.
Smashing on a weighty chain, this antique Georgian fob makes for a statement pendant extraordinaire.
