From the former prestigious firm of Sloan & Co. hails this horse motif gold brooch.
Three prancing horses in a row are high-stepping it equestrian high style. The brooch is 14k yellow gold.
Facing to the right, the horses step forward with tails held high and manes braided. Unusually, the tack depicted here is for a technique of training named long lining or lunge lining.
In place of a saddle, there are leather strips placed around the horses' front torsos where two leads can be held on the ground by the trainer.
With the original safety clasp, this is an Art Deco animal-related jewel to wear all by itself or in a cluster of other adornments.
