From the firm of Tessier's Ltd., in its original antique box, is a brooch as no other.
Certainly one of a kind, the brooch details a walking fox slipping noiselessly behind a lush shrub - its leaves fanning out above it in a sinuous array.
Textured yellow gold highlights both the fur of the fox, its tail, and facial features, as well as the branches of the bush and the suggested landscape below.
True to the Art Nouveau aesthetics, the leaves are embellished with translucent enamels in shades of spring green. Three old European cut diamonds punctuate the three branches.
A collar of natural emeralds and a diamond adorn the lanky fox. Beneath, another vivid green emerald serves to anchor the tableaux.
Unparalleled design and workmanship in a rare theme.

Historical Notes: Tessier's had a long and varied history dating back to 1841 with the name of Griffin & Tessier. Many changes in owners, family members, and locations led to the firm known as Tessiers Ltd. of 26 New Bond Street London from 1920 onward. The business has closed but was renowned as exceptional jewellery and silversmiths throughout its tenure.
