Story
From the Romantic Period during the final decades of the Georgian era, comes this authentic forget me not ring.
Adorned with natural turquoise, a flower motif rests at the top. At its center, a petite old rose-cut diamond was placed within a silver pinched collet mount.
Two forget me not flowers in gold, one on each shoulder, remind us this was a sentimental ring. This charming five-petal bloom was a ubiquitous motif during the Georgian period.
The name says it all, but it was also associated with fidelity and familial as well as romantic bonds.
A tendril of gold and fancy scrolling and carved open shoulders transitions to a reeded band, the setting tests at 10k gold.
On the underside, a locket compartment can be found. Its glass covering now lost to time would have held a lock of woven hair.
Due to its age and turquoise, this is not recommended for an engagement ring, but fine for occasional wear.
