Sapphires are on a a short list of gemstones that come in a myriad of colors and shades. One of those hues that almost always signifies an unadulterated stone without heat treatment is within the purple and pink shades.
Blues often fall within a few general color ranges: deep blue, Ceylon blue, dark blue or blue green. But subtlety and the "no two alike" motto are akin to the pinks and purples.
And this is undoubtedly the most striking and feminine of violet sapphires you will experience. An emerald step cut of 5.02 carats, it meets the eye with tones spanning lilac, lavender, peony purple and pink, to dusky light plum and orchid hues.

This gem-quality sapphire is bezel set in 18k yellow gold. A frame of old single cut diamonds imparts .45 carats (G-H color, VS clarity) are all set into platinum. Its outer edge is platinum with mille grain (millegrain) edges.
An open triangular bridge of yellow gold allow light to penetrate from all angles.
Comes with a Gem Paris Laboratoire certificate no. 20181974233-1 for the sapphire stating that it is Ceylon in origin with no evidence of heat treatment.
