Story
Breathe in the rarefied air, not from a high peak, but from a rare treasure from long ago. For a scent has traveled the ages to delight many of your senses.
Yes, this circa 1830 vinaigrette pendant in agate and gold may be opened to reveal its lingering perfume, still distinct and enticing today.
In 18k gold and set with a round, carnelian agate, this petite bottle opens at the top to reveal scented cotton wool inside.
The reverse reveals a round locket compartment with fabric inside. All the surfaces (except the base) are covered with rococo engraving to the back, sides and front. Tiny wire work and cannetille surrounds the agate.
Two chains with tiny gold tassels adorn their ends, and another chain rests in the middle. These are suspended from a small loop. Just exquisite!
